DA provides guidelines on valuation of agri-fisheries mechanization and infrastructure projects
The Department of Agriculture (DA) has issued an administrative order that provides general guidelines on the valuation of agricultural and fisheries mechanization and infrastructure projects. Administrative Order (AO) 20 series of 2022 aims to furnish DA implementing offices (IOs) with guidelines on the valuation of agri-fisheries machinery, equipment, facilities, and infrastructure projects of DA and its attached bureaus, agencies, and corporations.
DA institutionalizes Career Progression and Specialization Program
Administrative Order (AO) 19 signed by former Agriculture Secretary William Dar on June 30, 2022 will strengthen the Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Groups in DA and its attached agencies and corporations where ABEs play vital roles in the formulation, development, planning and implementation of the agri-fisheries mechanization, infrastructure, irrigation and other agri-fisheries engineering programs and projects as well as in food security programs.
IRR for Philippine Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Act of 2016 signed
The Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act No. 10915, also known as the Philippine Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering Act of 2016, was formally signed by the Professional Regulations Board of Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (PRBABE) and the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) at the Philippine International Convention Center in Pasay City on July 8, 2022.

BAFE, PHilMech sign agreement on the rolling out of registration through RAFMES
The Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) and the Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) entered into an agreement for the rolling out of registration through RAFMES or “Registration of ownership of Agricultural and Fisheries Machinery and Equipment System.” RAFMES is an online registration information system.
