Local government units (LGUs) from Bataan, Tarlac, and Zambales convened on July 23 to 24, 2024 in a workshop to discuss how digital tools can improve the localization of the Farm-to-Market Roads Network Plan (FMRNP) 2023-2028. Hosted by the Regional Agricultural Engineering Division of the Department of Agriculture (DA) Central Luzon, the workshop aimed to align efforts and share innovative tools crucial for the plan’s success.

Local government officials from Northern Mindanao – Cluster 10 (Lanao del Norte, Iligan City, Misamis Occidental, and Camiguin) Cluster 11 (Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro City, and Misamis Oriental) actively participated, alongside national and regional offices of the Department of Agriculture (DA), Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), Department of Tourism (DOT), National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA), and the Civil Service Commission (CSC) at the Localization of the National Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan (FMRNP) 2023-2028 held at the Harbor Lights Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City on July 16 and 17, 2024 (Cluster 10) and July 18 and 19, 20204 (Cluster 11)

Mindoro LGUs lead localization of Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan to transform MIMAROPA agriculture sector

Local government units (LGUs) in Oriental and Occidental Mindoro provinces are taking the lead in localizing the National Farm-to-Market Road Network Plan (FMRNP) for 2023-2028, highlighting their crucial role in supporting rural development through well-maintained road networks. This initiative was the focus of a comprehensive three-day workshop, organized by DA-BAFE and DA-MIMAROPA Regional Agricultural Engineering Division, where officials of Mindoro LGUs and national line agencies gathered to strategize the plan for maximum impact.

Western Visayas Officials Strategize Farm-to-Market Road Network Development

In a pivotal effort to enhance the agricultural infrastructure in Western Visayas, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) led a three-day planning workshop and coordination meeting from June 25 to 27, 2024. The event aimed at localizing the Regional Farm-to-Market Network Road Program (FMRNP) and brought together key officials from national government agencies and local government units (LGUs) in Aklan, Antique, and Capiz provinces.

Attending the Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting on April 25, 2024 were Usec.
