DA empowers stakeholders to enhance supervision in agriculture projects

In efforts to enhance the oversight capabilities of agricultural infrastructure project beneficiaries, the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) conducted a four-day training session on the Citizen’s Monitoring Tool (CMT). Thirty-one (31) representatives from the Department of Agriculture’s Regional Agricultural Engineering Divisions (RAEDs), Local Government Units (LGUs), and Farmers’ Cooperatives and Associations (FCAs) participated in the Citizens Monitoring Tool (CMT) training from June 18 to 21, 2024 at the El Cielito Hotel in Baguio City.

The Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) celebrated its 11th anniversary with the theme “Harnessing Innovations and Digital Technology: Advancing Agriculture and Fisheries Modernization.” The event held on June 25, 2024 at the Sugar Regulatory Administration Hall underscored the bureau’s role in integrating cutting-edge technologies and engineering solutions into the agricultural sector.
DA-BAFE and Caraga State University Launch Farm-to-Market Road Impact Assessment (FaMRIA) Project

The Farm-to-Market Road Impact Assessment (FaMRIA) Project was officially launched on May 24, 2024, at Almont Inland Resort in this city with the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) by DA-BAFE Director Engr. Ariodear Rico and CSU President Dr. Rolyn C. Daguil. This initiative, spearheaded by the Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) and Caraga State University (CSU), aims to evaluate the far-reaching effects of Farm-to-Market Roads (FMRs) on local communities.
DA-BAFE holds public consultation for REPAFS

The Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) organized a public consultation for the finalization of the Renewable Energy Program for the Agriculture and Fisheries Sector (REPAFS). The public consultation held online last January 28, 2022 was attended by officials and representatives of concerned government agencies, state universities and colleges (SUCs), as well as stakeholders from the private sector.
