DA-BAFE welcomes new permanent employees

Six newly appointed permanent employees of the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) took their oath of office administered by Director Ariodear C. Rico in the agency’s new office at the Sugar Regulatory Administration on February 16, 2021. The new appointees are Marshall Louie Asis (Information Officer II under Office of the Director), Jimmy Caldoza Jr. (Information Systems Analyst II under PPMD), Helaisha Nissi Dumaguing (Engineer II, PPMD), Benjamin Baradi II (Engineer I, EPDSD), Julius Abe Peralta (Computer Programmer, SRED) and Ace Philip Dupla (Engineer II, SRED). After the oath-taking ceremony, Dir. Rico congratulated and welcomed the newly appointed employees who all passed through a rigid selection process under the DA-BAFE Personnel Selection Board or PSB.
DA-BAFE moves to new office

The Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) has transferred from the DA-Central Office building in Elliptical Road to the Sugar Regulatory Administration compound along North Avenue, Quezon City.
DA-BAFE meeting with ATI regarding farm mechanization training

DA-BAFE Director Ariodear Rico presided the meeting with the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI) represented by the team of Ms. Editha Vinuya (Chief of Career Development and Management Division of ATI) to discuss the collaboration between DA-BAFE and ATI in the conduct of farm mechanization training in the regions.
Dir. Rico steers DA-BAFE towards achieving its vision of a modernized agri-fishery sector

Engr. Ariodear C. Rico celebrated his first year as the Director of Department of Agriculture – Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (DA-BAFE) via an online year-end assessment meeting on December 15, 2020 by presenting the agency’s milestones for the year as well as its thrusts and strategic direction for 2021-2022.Dir. Rico said that the formulation of program thrusts for 2020-2022 is an important milestone necessary to achieve DA-BAFE’s vision of a modernized and globally competitive agri-fishery sector in the Philippines.
Training on Soilless Agriculture
The Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (BAFE) will conduct a Blended Training on Soilless Agriculture (Hydroponics and Aquaponics) on October 28-30, 2020.
