A digital payment portal of the Landbank of the Philippines that allows government and private institutions to pay for products and services online is now accessible for the clients of Bureau of Agricultural and Fisheries Engineering (BAFE).
An e-Payment facility called LANDBANK Link.BizPortal enables customers to pay for goods and services from public and commercial institutions/sectors online. It offers convenience and efficiency to all involved institutions, as well as safer and quicker money transfers. It also lessens the direct and indirect costs related to the distribution of in-kind goods or physical cash, establishes accountability for financial flows, prevents theft and corruption, reduces lobby traffic, and cuts costs of operation.
Representatives from the Landbank of the Philippines and BAFE finalized BAFE’s Link.BizPortal account in a meeting held on May 10, 2023 at the BAFE-SRED Conference Room. The said meeting is part of the implementation of a memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the BAFE and Landbank. Representatives from Landbank also conducted a briefing on the portal’s features and operation participated by BAFE-AFD
BAFE, through the Standards Regulation and Enforcement Division (SRED), and the Landbank of the Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on October 1, 2021 concerning the use of Landbank Link.BizPortal. The agreement complies with Executive Order No. 170 Series of 2022, which promotes adopting digital payments for government disbursements and collections.
“LANDBANK Link.BizPortal will enable BAFE and its clients to use the electronic medium and accept digital payments for all registration, licensing, and fees,” said BAFE-SRED Chief Engr. Janice Vargas.
Engr. Vargas expressed her optimism that using the portal will streamline and broaden the reach of BAFE’s regulatory services ###BAFE-ICTST
